The owner of LA DATCHA, drawn to the groundbreaking Xplorer yacht design, embarked on an extensive customization journey to create a truly bespoke vessel. Xplorer Yachts in Build
The Damen Yachting Xplorer 60 series (previously called Seaxplorer) are being built with a focus on sustainability and efficiency. They feature a hybrid power and propulsion system that allows for both diesel-electric and battery-electric operation. This reduces fuel consumption and emissions, making it more environmentally friendly. The yachts are also equipped with a waste heat recovery system that captures heat from the engines to provide hot water and heating for the yacht.
The Xplorer 60 is designed to be a true explorer yacht, capable of reaching remote and challenging destinations. It has an ice-classed hull that allows it to navigate through ice-covered waters, and its long range and ample storage capacity make it ideal for extended voyages. The yacht is also equipped with a variety of advanced navigation and communication systems, as well as a comprehensive security system.
With a cruising range of over 5000 nautical miles, yet a spacious interior designed for luxury and comfort the first Xplorer 60 expedition yacht is under construction and available for delivery in 2025.
